Arts Day 2006

The thirteenth annual Arts Day at Hotchkiss was another very successful learning experience. Fourth grade students from the six towns in Region 1 participated in music, dance, theatrical and visual arts workshops and viewed performers on stage.

Watercolor Monotypes
with instructor
Charles Noyes

“I loved this workshop!
It was the most fun I have had with painting and visual art ever.”

Cello Man
with instructor
Eugene Friesen

“I loved the Cello Man. I liked how we went over the rhythm, harmony, and color. We did beats to each one and it was fun. That was the best!”

Let’s Dance
with instructor Olga Dunn

“It was magnificent, I learned a lot. I love to do new things, and that is exactly what I did with Miss Olga!”

Beading Basics
with instructor
Rachel Gottmeier

“I loved Beading Basics because she was talented.”
“Making the bracelets and necklaces was so much fun. I wish we had more time.”

Mask Making
with instructor

Ellen Moon

“I was really into it!”

Ukrainian Eggs

with instructor
Lisa Jones

“It was great fun making the designs on the eggs.

It was like magic when the wax melted off and colors appeared.”
As always, all of us who had the opportunity to participate in this day thank the Arts Fund for Region One for making the arts come alive for so many.
